Two visitors wearing the headphones of a tour guide system

4 reasons why a tour guide system is so valuable for a factory tour

"We don't need a tour guide system for our factory tour, we've managed without one for years." Or: "The guide can just speak up a bit." Familiar reasons, but they cost you experience, for your employee and for your visitor alike. In this article we explain what a good tour guide system brings your company. Watch the video first for a quick impression.

You want to tell your customers and visitors something and you want them to take in as much of it as possible. Your employee also wants to be able to work well without becoming physically overloaded. And then there is safety on the shop floor. Together that makes four reasons.

1. Maximum visitor engagement

During a factory tour, your employee puts energy into getting information across. So you want that information to land. But there is always background noise, and the group is often just too large to address without raising your voice. Those are the moments when visitors switch off.

With a tour guide system, the guide gets a microphone and the visitors get headphones. The system works wirelessly on a secure frequency. The guide speaks at a comfortable volume, questions from the group are easily shared and answered, and the visitors hear the story from start to finish.

2. Better working conditions

Anyone who has to raise their voice all day notices it by the evening: fatigue, a hoarse voice, a headache. If passing on information to groups is someone's job, they deserve the best possible conditions. A tour guide system is a small investment with a big effect. Your employee will certainly appreciate the comfort, and their work becomes more effective too.

3. Safety on the shop floor

Safety on the shop floor matters, not only for your own employees but also for third parties: temporary staff and freelancers (see Article 7:658 of the Dutch Civil Code) and certainly visitors. A safety briefing that cannot be heard misses its purpose. With a tour guide system, everyone hears the instructions, even next to a running machine. Always remember personal protective equipment as well, such as helmets, goggles and hearing protection. Also read what really helps against hearing damage.

4. Tailor-made without the worry
