An icon of architecture and history

The mosque is named after the founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture. White marble façades, golden domes and intricate mosaics bring tradition and innovation together. Visitors marvel at the enormous chandeliers and one of the largest hand-knotted carpets in the world, made by thousands of craftspeople.

The multimedia tour

Since 2021, visitors have been given an interactive tour that reveals the deeper layers of the mosque. They receive a fully charged Orpheo Touch multimedia guide with open Orpheo Airset headphones. The guide brings augmented reality, interactive games and 360-degree images to life, turning every step through the mosque into a discovery.

Navigation with indoor geolocation

Thanks to indoor geolocation via Bluetooth, the content starts automatically in the right place. A 3D map shows routes and details, so visitors can easily find their way around the vast spaces. For groups there are also Orpheo TG tour guide systems, with which guides give live tours.

Tailored content in fourteen languages

The tour is available in fourteen languages, with separate routes for adults, families and visitors with a disability, including sign language and audio description. That way, everyone can dive into the history, architecture and cultural significance of the mosque in their own way.
